Today, on 24 September 2022, a Food Package (Each family: 40 kg rice & 4 kg lentil-Mushur dal) has been distributed among 165 flood affected families of Lengura union under Kalmakanda upazila of Netrakona district by the financial assistance of World Food Program (WFP) in presence of Mr. Saidur Rahman Bhuiyan, Chairman & other members of Lengura Union Parishad (UP), Ms. Sabina Saeed, representative of WFP, Krishibid Md. Altafur Rahman Selim, Director (PSU), SM Rezaul Haque Mamun, PC & other staffs of Sabalamby Unnayan Samity (SUS). The representative of WFP took interview of few selected members. At the same day, 414 families of Maghan Siader union under Mohangonj upazila received the same food stuff in presence of UNO, Local UP Chairman, 2 WFP representatives and senior staffs of SUS. 389 families under Khaliajuri sadar union of Khaliajuri upazila of Netranona district also received the same package as well. Upazila Nirbahi Officer AHM Ariful Islam inaugurated the distribution program in Khaliajuri. Local UP Chairman, PIO, representatives of WFP and senior officials of SUS were also present in the occasion. Each of the selected family will get taka 2500 through BIKASH of their respective mobile numbers very soon.
