Integrated Development Project (IDP)

SUS has been implementing Integrated Development Project (IDP) at Kendua upazila of Netrakona district since January 2012 and Mymensingh sadar upazila of Mymensingh district since 2009 with the financial assistance of Quaker Service, Sweden. SUS is now working with a total of 2,777 families of 76 villages 04 unions (Kandiura, Noapara, Maska, Chirang under Kendua upazila of Netrakona district) and 82 villages of 04 unions (Bhabokhali, Ghagra, Boyra, Khagdohor) along with 05 slums of Mymensingh city corporation area of Mymensingh district. SUS believes that with the participation and effective effort of all stakeholders, the project will able to bring sustainable positive changes in the life and livelihood of the selected community.

The objectives of the project is to increase income level through Livelihood Development Program (Micro-finance), reduce the rate of general diseases, reduce the maternity risk and death, increase the awareness on health and nutrition, HIV and motivate for safe drinking water, improve the sanitation system, stop the violence against women, ensure a standard pre-primary and primary education, develop adolescents as agent of social transformation, provide physical and autistic therapy for disable children by using PRT (Primary Rehabilitation Therapy) and reduce the rate of dropout along with increase the rate of overall primary education.
